Huish Ball Steep, just north of Luccombe is an unusal Bolder Bed, displayed in the sides of the lane, made up of rounded purple Devonian Sandstone. Possibly deposited in a channel of an ancient river.

Hurlstone Point is a good place to see the Hangman Sandstone and the folds and faults that affect it. Here the Sandstones are folded into a Syncline as seen from the beach
