Saturday 16th March 2024. 10:30am. Meet in the car park by ENPA offices for a walk in Burridge Woods (Exmoor House car park, TA22 9HL – payment by contactless, coin, chip and pin) Leader: Ruth Hyett. Burridge Wood is at grid reference SS912285. Most of the woodland forms part of a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), designated for its important wildlife including rare lichens which thrive in the clean, moist air, as well as woodland bird species.

Saturday 4th May 11:00 am. A WALK TO CELEBRATE 50 YEARS SINCE FORMATION OF ENHS. This is a similar walk to the first one held exactly 50 years ago today on 4th May, 1974. Meet Robbers Bridge Car

Saturday 25th May 10:00am – 4:00pm. Come and join the Exmoor Society’s FESTIVAL OF NATURE event at Nettlecombe Court Field Studies Centre TA4 4HT. (ST056377). Visit our stall and enjoy the many other attractions. This is an outdoor day of free Nature Activities, with stalls, screenings, food and drink, and special guest talks. No need to book for this event.

Wednesday 12th June 11:00 am Meet Barna Barrow Car Park for Walk (c5¾ miles) around Countisbury, The
Foreland and Desolate Farm. Reasonably even terrain with a couple of fairly gradual ascents. Bring packed
lunch. Leader: James Windle.

Friday 21st June 12 noon for 12 30 meal. OUR 50 TH ANNIVERSARY LUNCH AT MINEHEAD GOLFCLUB. The price per person is expected to be around £25 for two courses or £30 for three courses. If you

Wednesday 4th September 11:00 am. A walk to the deserted village of Clicket. Park and meet in an unsigned residential road on the way out of Timberscombe  TA24 7TU (SS95401 42083). Travelling from Dunster to Wheddon Cross, pass Brook Street and Vicarage Court and turn next left – just before the speed de-restriction sign. Good walking shoes or boots essential because bits of the walk will almost certainly be muddy and perhaps walking poles or stick. Leader: James Windle.
