Note: The indoor meetings in Minehead are to be in the Methodist Church Hall, The Avenue (just below the old hospital, opposite the Co-op car park). No need to bok a place for these. No charge for members, entrance fee for vistors £3 on the door. Tea/coffee served during the internval.

Methodist Church Hall. An illustrated talk by Rob Wilson-North ENPA Head of Conservation & Access, entitled “What is Natural? In search of John Knight’s Exmoor”.     
Saturday 20th January 2024. 10:00 am.
A morning walk on Porlock Marsh led by Andy Pym. “Wintering Birds”. Meet at Bossington car park. TA24 8HF. Fee for non NT members.
Tuesday 6th February 2024. 10:00 am. Luckbarrow Study Group.
Attendees are asked to bring details of a walk they enjoyed in Exmoor.
Wednesday 7th February 2024. 2:30 pm (NB Afternoon meeting).
Illustrated talks by Cherrie and Dave Temple. Cherrie will tell us about Cranes and Dave’s talk is entitled ” The Development of Minehead as a Tourist Resort”.
Saturday 17th February 2024. 10:30 am.
A morning walk (approx 2-3 hours) from Selworthy Church overflow car park. The car park is second left after the church, TA24 8TW, donation for parking. The walk will go along tracks in the woods to Allerford and return looking at the surrounding nature and hearing about the history of the area. Please come prepared for walking in Exmoor as it will be muddy in places Some uphill sections. The tea shop on Selworthy Green should be open for those looking for refreshments (teas/coffee cakes and light lunches). Leader: Woody.

Wednesday 6th March. 7:30pm. An illustrated talk by John Walters. Full details to follow.
Saturday 17th March 2024. 10:30am. Meet in the car park by ENPA offices for a walk in Burridge Woods. Leader: Ruth Hyett. Burridge Wood is at grid reference SS912285. Most of the woodland forms part of a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), designated for its important wildlife including rare lichens which thrive in the clean, moist air, as well as woodland bird species such as pied flycatchers.
Saturday 20th April 2024. 2:30pm. A.G.M. at Bossington Methodist Church. TA24 8HH. Nominations for the Committee to be with the Secretary by 6th April. Please make every effort to come, we need your support. Cream tea to follow the meeting.
