ENHS Winter Programme 2026

Note:  The indoor winter meetings in Minehead are to be in the Methodist Church Hall, The Avenue (just below the old hospital, opposite the Co-op and Car Park.) No need to book a place for these. No charge for members, entrance fee for visitors £3.  Tea/coffee served during interval.

PLEASE NOTE THAT IT IS ESSENTIAL FOR SEVERAL REASONS (eg cancellation) THAT YOU BOOK A PLACE IF YOU INTEND TO COME ON ANY OF THESE WALKS OR LUCKBARROW STUDY GROUP MEETINGS. The Study Group meetings usually have a waiting list as space is limited, and if you later find you are unable to attend, please let us know so that the outing is not delayed by waiting for you. Tuesday 10th November 10:00 am. LUCKBARROW STUDY GROUP – Invasive Plant species. Talk by Carol Giddens.
Saturday 14th November. Meet 10.00 am at National Trust Horner Car Park,  TA24 8HY.For a walk in Horner Wood led by Woody Tickner. Horner Wood is a part of a National Nature Reserve and one of the largest “unenclosed” ancient oak woodlands in Britain. We will stroll along the river looking for fungus, trees, moss and listen out for birds.  Please wear suitable clothing.  The walk will be approximately 2 hours returning to the car park.  Tea shops at Horner and Selworthy.  Please remember to book with Fi Windle, our booking secretary.
