Note:  The indoor meetings in Minehead are to be in the Methodist Church Hall, The Avenue (just below the old hospital, opposite the Co-op and Car Park.) No need to book a place for these. No charge for members, entrance fee for visitors £3.  Tea/coffee served during interval.

Wednesday. 1st October:       7.30 pm. Indoor Meeting at Avenue Methodist Hall, Minehead – Rob Wilson North to give an illustrated talk entitled ‘Exmoor People and Nature’ from the picturesque to nature recovery.
Saturday 11th October:      10.30 am. An easy stroll through Parks Walk to see autumn colours.  Meet Parkhouse Road end of Trail, opposite foot of Millbridge Road, Minehead (SS964460)  Leader: Ruth Hyett
Tuesday 14th October:      10 am. Luckbarrow Study Group – a talk on Snakes by Martina Slater.
Wednesday 29th October 11:00am – 3:00pm NT Doone Valley Family Fun Day at Malmsmead (SS791478). Visit our stall and join wildlife activities.
Wednesday 5th November:      7.30 pm.  Indoor Meeting at Avenue Methodist Hall, Minehead.  An illustrated talk by John Walters entitled ‘Recent Wildlife Highlights.’
Tuesday 11th November:    10 am.  Luckbarrow Study Group – a talk on Fritillary butterflies by Ruth Hyett
Saturday 15th November:       FUNGUS FORAY.  Details to be advised later – possibly   meeting at Robbers Bridge.  Leader: Siân Parry.
Wednesday 3rd December:      2.30 pm. Minehead Methodist Hall.   Our CHRISTMAS SOCIAL. Please bring food to share.  Used bookstall, members slides.  Please note the start time. Professor Ian Hart will be giving an illustrated talk of his and his wife’s wild life photography from their world wide travels.
Tuesday 9th December:       10.00 am Luckbarrow Study Group Christmas meeting.  Please bring something to entertain us (a puzzle, a reading, a poem, etc.)  Mince Pies served.
Wednesday 7th January 2026:       2.30 pm.  Minehead Methodist Hall  An illustrated talk entitled ‘Trees and all their Wisdom’’ by Emma Duke . Please note the start time.
Tuesday 13th January 2026:        10 am.  Luckbarrow Study Group.  Carol Giddens to talk about the Exmoor Rare Plants List.
Wednesday 4th February 2026:        2.30 pm. Minehead Methodist Hall. An illustrated talk by Zoe Smith entitled ‘The Return of the White Tailed/Sea Eagle to England. Please note the start time,
Saturday 7th February 2026.       11.00am.  Meet at Malmsmead NT car park, (SS791 478), EX35 6NU (fee non NT members) for  a stroll along Badgworthy water to Cloud Farm, returning through farmland and Oare Church.  Please bring suitable clothing and a picnic lunch.  Might be wet in places.  Apprx. 3 miles with a hill. Donation of £1.00 to walk through the farmer’s meadow at Malmsmead. Leader: Celia (Woody) Tickner.

Tuesday 10th March:  10 am.  Luckbarrow Study Group.  S. Parry to talk on Plant Galls.
Saturday 14th March :   10.30 am Meet by Recreation Ground, Parsons Street, Porlock for a walk to Hawkcombe Woods.  Leader: Marilyn Jennings.  We hope to see some Spring Migrants arriving.  Bring packed lunch.
